Unexpectations [Training/Open]

"I would love to take you in as a student. I have not taken one in a few years and you seem like a perfect candidate. You are not only in my bloodline but your element is one of my own, so I may help you in that field. I can also train you with Senbon techniques as well as basic fighting with a Katana."

Samuru bowed her head in thanks, not sure if she should take this as a reason to inwardly gloat or not. However, after slowly raising her head to look back up at the Mizukage, she smirked and nodded. "Very well then, Sensei," she said, taking a step back and bowing in respect before drawing her sword, her eye wary of Kuroda as he sat nearby and was working on some craft. "I assume the lesson shall begin now?"

Samuru bowed before him as Kuroda walked off to play with a branch next to a tree. He knew by now to get out of the way. It was kinda funny actually. Samuru drew her sword, eager to begin the training. Riku smiled, adjusting his glasses to sit better on his nose. He decided that her first lesson would not be defending against a sword as she undoubtedly was expecting. but rather defending against an enemy who could attack multiple times. He released a little bit of chakra to the plate where his neck and spine met. 8 black steel tails sprouted from the plate, each covered with razor sharp blades on the sides and a thin point at the ends. They moved about lazily behind Riku as a cat's tail would. He and drew his katana as well. He prepared chakra and performed a shunpo right infront of Samuru. Two of the tails came down towards her shoulders from over Riku's own shoulders.

Kuroda looked over at the sound of Riku's tails sliding against one another. Kuroda just smirked and thought, "This is hardly fair, an S-ranked Kage Vs. an E-ranked Genin?" Kuroda started to actually carve away at the segment, he actually had an idea of what to make. As Kuroda worked on the object, he looked up from it as Riku and Samuru battled. Although he was sitting this one out, he kept a thought in mind a joke that he would charge in at the loser's side, shout, "reinforcements," and level the field a little, but not right now. Samuru had too much to learn for Kuroda to mess things up with a joke. In the event Samuru had some potential Kuroda's next plan would be to train on his own once he completed his IOD. As Kuroda looked on he thought, "Man, I hope Riku can keep his wits about him, it wouldn't be good to kill his own student." That thought then triggered a series of thoughts, leading from the Blood Mist, to the Seven Swordsmen. They had disbanded some time ago for whatever reason, but Kuroda thought it would be cool to bring them back.

Learning Jutsu

Samuru braced herself for what her teacher, the Mizukage, surely had in store for her. She only hoped that he would not treat her as though she were too weak to hold her own in a battle. While she may have had only one arm and one eye, Samuru knew she could at least hold her own decently against a Genin of her own rank with all their limbs and sight in tact. But against a kage?

No, she thought, shaking her head and allowing her golden eye to change to red once more. He saw you fit enough to take you on as his student. You can't waver now!

Watching the "tails" sprout from behind her sensei, Samuru's grip on her sword tightened. So he was going to test her ability to dodge? Well, that was all well and good, but dodging constantly woudln't help all the time in battle. One of the tails shot toward her and she immediately rolled over to the right, reaching behind her and grasping for a smoke bomb. She smirked, slamming it down in front of her.

Suddenly multiple clones of herself popped up, dodging here and there as the tails attacked. Eight in total (counting herself), one slipped and fell short of her dodge point and was stabbed through the stomach by one of the tails. It exploded in a puff of smoke and Samuru launched her spike chain straight for Riku as the others proceeded to dodge and avoid the other tails.

Got to hit the mark!

Jutsu Used

Samuru dodged and created a series of clones. One by one, he quickly took them out with the tails, purposely leaving the real Samuru alive. She thrust her chain towards him as she dodged once more. He quickly shunpo'd again to dodge it, stopping only 15 feet back from where he stood. He focused a slight bit more chakra into the tails and they all retracted into the plate, becoming unnoticeable again. He drew the white sword from the sheath on his lower back and held it in front of himself straight up. He smiled at her and stood ready. "Come at me."

Kuroda looked on to Riku and Samuru's training session. He was surprised, he clearly under estimated Samuru's innovation. However, there wasn't much for him to do right now so he Shunpo'ed close to 50 meters away and worked on something new. Since he was an ANBU member, stealth and disorienting the opponent would be vital, so he figured he would attack the main sensory organs; the eyes. Kuroda popped his neck as he stretched, but he then ran through a few hand signs to preform Kokuangyou no Jutsu. After which, a ball of darkness began to form near Kuroda, and he slowly tried to expand it. The sphere got to about 25 meters in diameter then lost its stability and disapated.

Samuru saw the smirk forming on Riku's face. He had pulled back the tails, having annihilated all of her smoke bomb clones. It shouldn't have come as a surprise to her, however. After all, both of them possessed the Onigami bloodline so he was able to see her chakra flow like it was radiating off her body. Rolling on her side, she mentally cursed as she watched her Mizukage dodge her spike chain. Again, this was unsurprising.

Sighing, Samuru yanked the chain back toward her, caught it with the blade of her sword and sent it back within the folds of her kimono sleeve. She would attempt the attack again later on during the battle. "Come at me."

Standing up to her full height, Samuru charged forth - a throaty battle cry issuing from her mouth - and she leaned forward into the lunge. Pulling the sword back, she dodged what she could of the tails that launched themselves at her - one nicking her on the shoulder but she barely noted it - and attempted to strike at the Mizukage. "HYA!" she cried, plunging the sword into a downward motion. She knew her kage would parry or dodge, but she had to show that she wasn't afraid to come at him full force - even with all those tails trying to attack her.

She would not relent.

Samuru swung her sword vertically downwards at Riku. Holding his own sword underhanded in his right hand, he held it up horizontally, blocking the strike. He pushed forward, pushing Samuru back from him slightly. He then flipped the sword til he held it upright. He flickered and disappeared, performing a Shunpo to a branch in a tree behind her. He flicked his wrist and a few senbon shot down his sleeve and were caught in between each finger. The senbon flew with great speed as he threw them towards her, hoping to catch her off guard. Though he knew with the Taskeru, that she would be able to see the attack. It was just a matter on whether or not she could dodge it.

Kuroda heard the clanging of metal on metal, but he ignored it and focused on his training. He wanted to get the bring of darkness down and mastered so he could be more effective and maybe learn some synergetic jutsu. Refocusing on his task, Kuroda once again preformed the required hand signs. This time the pitch-black sphere had more stability to it and kept going until it reached 50 meters and refused to go any further without an excessive amount of chakra required. Kuroda was pleased to see, or rather, feel that he had succeeded. The uses for this jutsu and it's value in battle would be beyond comprehension, now Kuroda just needed to learn something to get a leg up on the competition.
