Personality:Kumori is a very cocky person and always remarks on people's actions, most of the time putting them down or insulting them. He tries to avoid social conversation unless with those he respect or if its dire to him, and if anybody dare call him by his birth name Ken, he will lash out on them. This seems to be one of his few flaws in life, due to the fact he often gets in trouble for whenever he gets called Ken. He only acts respectively to fellow Swordsmen of the Mist, his Mizukage, and his sensei Kuroda.

Background:In the land of the Waves, more specifically Kirigakure, there was a fine shinobi squad. One member of the squad was fresh from the academy Ken. They were such a fine squad they were entrusted with the mission, a simple bring this parcel to this country mission. However, things did not go as planned. Ken and his squad mates were attacked along the road by a giant team of shinobi. They obviously wanted the parcel, but the squad couldn't let them have it. All of the genin fought hard, alongside their sensei to ensure protection.

After a long battle, the tide finally shifted for the other shinobi. To ensure the safety of the parcel's content, the jonin destroyed it, and for that, was brutally killed. As for the genin, they were crushed as soon as their sensei died. All were considered dead, the parcel destroyed, so the shinobi had no more business here, and left. A few hours later, Kuroda was sent to follow the path the parcel went on, seeming as it was taking the squad an awfully long time. He arrived to find everyone dead, except one Genin who was unconscious and very wounded. Kuroda brought this child, Ken, back to the village so he could be healed and his wounds treated.

Awaking in a bed with Kuroda at his side, Ken was completely oblivious to what had happened and had amnesia. He couldn't even remember the mission, until Kuroda informed Ken of his situation. Ken was devastated at the fact his friends were dead, and his sensei. He was so mortified he hated whenever people called him Ken, because "Thats what my friends and family call me, only." As such, he developed the new name Kumori, no last name. Kuroda, who had formed the swordsmen of the mist and needed a student and more swordsmen, offered to take Kumori under his wing. Kumori accepted, and became the "Shadow of the Storm." He was told he would become a full fledged swordsman when he became a Chunin and made his own sword, and as such Kumori decided to stick to his guns and train until he can become a real Swordsman of the Mist.
